Judges' comment:
Steam, light, and lines combine in a strong, atmospheric, candid image of two workers. The photographer used slightly blurred escaping steam to silhouette the man on the right, with just enough light falling on the left side of his face to bring out its features. Even though the photo was made with a special charter train, it captured a natural familiarity between the two men.
