The theme for the 2009 Awards Program was "light impressions." 2009 was also the first year for all-digital entries, which resulted in a record number of submissions: 62 photographers and 275 images. Once again, the high quality of submissions made for difficult judging. Along with one gold, two silver, and four bronze awards, 17 additional photographers are recognized in the "Judges Also Liked" category.
